El Campo: Learn to Knit with Edwina and Friends

Looking for a fun and creative way to spend your Fridays?
Come join us at the El Campo Branch Library for free knitting classes every Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm!
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refresh your skills, Edwina and Friends will guide you through the wonderful world of knitting. This program is for ages 10 and up, and all supplies are provided. Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today!

Do you prepare a great soup and would love a chance to win the title of Best Soup in Wharton County? The East Bernard Branch Library is holding their annual "Soup's On" contest! Soup's On! Taste & Vote

Do you want to taste and vote for some of the best soups in Wharton County? Come join us on Saturday, February 15, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for the annual "Soup's On! Soup Tasting" Program at the East Bernard Branch Library.

Enjoy at least 8 different soups prepared by members of the Alpha Iota Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and patrons of the East Bernard Branch Library. It's a delicious event you won't want to miss!

Wharton: Writers Club

Join Our Writers Club at Wharton Main Library!
Are you between 12 and 18 years old and love to write? Join our new Writers Club! Share your work, collaborate with peers, dive into your favorite genres, and get exclusive support from the Horror Writers Association.
The Writers Club meets every 2nd Thursday of the month from 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Wharton Main Library. The next meeting will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 4:30pm.
We can't wait to see your creativity in action!

Wharton: Lego Club

Join us every third Thursday of the month from 4:30pm-5:45pm at Wharton Main Library for our LEGO Club. Kids between 3 and 17 years old are invited and you can come any time between 4:30pm and 5:45pm. This is a come-and-go event, so members may stay as little or as long as they’d like. After joining, participation each month is not mandatory, but members will be rewarded each time they come to build.

We supply the Legos, you supply the imagination! Come build with us!

The Wharton County Library System is proud to announce a new service to the community of Wharton County.

The Wharton Main Branch and the El Campo Branch will now provide notary public service to county residents.

Lulu Meek, Circulation Librarian of the Wharton Main Branch and Renee Harrell, Reference Librarian of the El Campo Branch are more than happy to serve the public’s notary needs.
