Louise: Mindfulness & Memory Matters

The Louise Branch Library, in collaboration with Prairie View Extension, is excited to host Mindfulness & Memory Matters, a warm and engaging program focused on supporting mental and brain health through reflection, creativity, and connection.
During each session, participants will enjoy guided reflection and journaling, hands‑on creative activities, gentle conversation and storytelling, and opportunities for meaningful social connection—all in a relaxed, low‑pressure environment designed to help you unwind and recharge.
This program will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 2:00pm.

East Bernard: Painting Pots for Peace of Mind

The East Bernard Branch Library invites you to join us for our Painting Pots for Peace of Mind program on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Come enjoy a relaxing, stress‑free painting session designed to help you unwind and get creative. This program is for adults ages 18 and older.

El Campo: AN Explosion of Color

An Explosion of Color is coming to the El Campo Branch Library! Spring is here, and vibrant color is bursting everywhere. Join us as Heather Kalina from Kalina Nursery shares tips on freshening your space with heat‑tolerant, colorful plants for your yard, along with fun and unique container ideas.

Wharton: Cozy Crochet Club

Wharton Main Library is excited to launch our new Cozy Crochet Club!

Starting Monday, April 20, 2026, join us every Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (except on holidays) for a relaxing hour of stitching, chatting, and connecting with fellow crochet enthusiasts.

Bring your own crochet project and yarn, and enjoy a welcoming space to work at your own pace. We’ll also have plenty of free patterns available. Have questions about a stitch or a project you’re working on? Linda will be there to help you out.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crocheter, we’d love to have you join the fun.


Wharton: Rhythm in your Seat: Chair exercise Program

Wharton Main Library, in collaboration with Angels Healthcare, invites you to Rhythm in Your Seat every Monday (except on Holidays) from 1:00pm–2:00pm.
 
This fun and energizing adult exercise program will get you moving with simple, upbeat chair exercises designed to boost your heart rate and lift your spirits—all while staying comfortably seated. It’s a great way to stay active, connect with others, and add a little rhythm to your day.

Wharton: Senior Wellness Hour

Wharton Main Library will be hosting its next Senior Wellness Hour on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This month’s topic is Advanced Directives, and we are pleased to welcome Christy Gonzales of Wharton City EMS and Alex Rischan from the Houston‑Galveston Area Agency on Aging as our presenters. They will provide valuable information to help seniors and their families understand the importance of planning ahead and making informed decisions.

Wharton: Writers Club

Join Our Writers Club at Wharton Main Library!
Are you between 12 and 18 years old and love to write? Join our new Writers Club! Share your work, collaborate with peers, dive into your favorite genres, and get exclusive support from the Horror Writers Association.
The Writers Club meets every 2nd Thursday of the month from 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Wharton Main Library.
We can't wait to see your creativity in action!

Wharton: Lego Club

Join us every third Thursday of the month from 4:30pm-5:45pm at Wharton Main Library for our LEGO Club. Kids between 3 and 17 years old are invited and you can come any time between 4:30pm and 5:45pm. This is a come-and-go event, so members may stay as little or as long as they’d like. After joining, participation each month is not mandatory, but members will be rewarded each time they come to build.

We supply the Legos, you supply the imagination! Come build with us!


Wharton: Warhammer Club

Join the Warhammer Club at Wharton Main Library!
Come and experience the world’s greatest hobby! Build and paint your first miniature, play your first game, and dive into the universe of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. All supplies will be provided. The Warhammer Club meets every third Tuesday of the month from 4:30pm-7:00pm.

Wharton: Chess Club

Join the Chess Club at Wharton Main Library!

Wharton Main Library is proud to host regular Chess Club sessions for players ages 8 and up. Whether you're a seasoned strategist or just beginning to explore the game, the Chess Club offers a welcoming space to sharpen your skills, meet fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy friendly competition.

Sessions are held every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, along with one Saturday session each month from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. No registration is required—just bring your love for the game and join us.

Calling all anime fans ages 13 and up!

El Campo Lego Club

The El Campo Library is excited to continue hosting its monthly Lego Club. Children ages 3 to 17 are invited to join us once a month on Tuesdays from 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM for a fun, come‑and‑go building experience perfect for all ages and skill levels.

Upcoming dates include January 13, February 10, and March 10, 2026. We provide the Lego—you bring your imagination. Come build with us and let your creativity shine at the El Campo Library.

Lego Club

The East Bernard Branch Library is excited to announce its brand‑new Lego Club, Ready Set Lego! Join us every last Monday of the month from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. This free, come‑and‑go event is open to children ages 3–17.

The very first Ready Set Lego! meeting will be held on Monday, January 26, 2025, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. We can’t wait to see all the creativity that builds up.


East Bernard Preschool Storytime

Join Ms. Sandra every Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the East Bernard Branch Library for Preschool Storytime. This weekly program is perfect for children up to 5 years old and features engaging stories, fun activities, and early learning experiences.
