Get ready to go green! The East Bernard Branch Library is decked out for St. Patrick's Day with "Pinch Proof" displays featuring green books, festive bulletin boards, and an exciting treasure hunt!
Join us tomorrow, March 17, 2025 between 1:30pm and 5:30pm at the East Bernard Library for a fun-filled afternoon of searching for Shamrocks hidden around the library. Solve the riddle by filling in the letters you find and bring your completed paper to the Circulation Desk to claim your prize!

Looking for an exciting way to spend your afternoons next week? Come join us at the Louise Branch Library between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM for a variety of fun and educational activities for all ages!

Monday, March 18: Tot Time for kids Pre-K and up. Wednesday, March 19: Science Experiments in a fun and safe environment for ages 10 and up. Thursday, March 20: Machines and Contraptions - challenge your imagination and build amazing creations! This program is for all ages.

All programs will be using STEAM kits available for use at the Library Reference Area.

Wharton: Warhammer Club

Join the Warhammer Club at Wharton Main Library!
The Wharton Main Library is thrilled to announce a new club for 2025: Warhammer Club. Come and experience the world’s greatest hobby! Build and paint your first miniature, play your first game, and dive into the universe of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. All supplies will be provided.

East Bernard: Birds, Bees & Butterflies

Join us for an enchanting afternoon at the East Bernard Branch Library's "Birds, Bees, and Butterflies" event on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the East Bernard Branch Library.

We will have Patti Daniel, a Master Gardener sharing her expertise on flowers that attract Texas birds; Stephanie King, a local beekeeper offering insights on raising bees on your property; and Doris McAnally, a plant enthusiast discussing plants that will attract butterflies to your yard.

Wharton: Lego Club

Join us every third Thursday of the month from 4:30pm-5:45pm at Wharton Main Library for our LEGO Club. Kids between 3 and 17 years old are invited and you can come any time between 4:30pm and 5:45pm. This is a come-and-go event, so members may stay as little or as long as they’d like. After joining, participation each month is not mandatory, but members will be rewarded each time they come to build.

We supply the Legos, you supply the imagination! Come build with us!


Wharton: Growing and Nourishing Gardening Class

Growing and Nourishing: Healthy Communities Garden Course
 
Do you love to learn the tips and tricks of gardening? Do you love to eat fresh and delicious produce that you grew?
 
Join us at the Wharton Main Library for the “Growing and Nourishing: Healthy Communities Garden Course” presented by Lori Garcia from the Wharton County FCS - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. During the months of March and April, this 6-part series for adults 50 and older will teach you how to build, maintain, and harvest a garden. Materials to start your own garden will be provided at no cost to you.
 
The first class will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
