Wharton: In her shoes

Wharton Main Library is hosting another “In Her Shoes” Program presented by the Crisis Center on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 12:00pm-1:00pm. In this program you will choose a story of a victim of domestic abuse and decide what you would do in her situation. Each choice that you make will lead you to another part of the room, where you will continue the story and make choices. Some stories will end happy, others will not. Grab some family, friends or coworkers and participate in this impactful program. Light lunch will be provided.

During this program we will donate the care packages with the notes of encouragement that our community made to the Crisis Center. The Crisis Center will distribute them to victims of domestic abuse here in Wharton.

The content of this activity can be graphic. Please be advised there is mention of strong language, assault, sexual assault, and loss of life. This activity encourages everyone to think creatively about the ways we can work together to end domestic violence.
